In school lighting and sound training: “Making the most of your equipment”

WLX offers on site training for staff and students at schools and colleges in the theory and use of lighting and sound equipment.  We come to you so that we can show you how to get the best out of the equipment you already own.

We can co-ordinate with your next production to help with lighting plans and creating different moods and setting the scene, as well as sound effects editing and helping to take your show to the next level.

Having worked on over 100 school productions, WLX understands the challenges faced by teachers and we offer a tailored inset to meet your needs.

We can also include sessions for GCSE / A level theatre studies students to give them a understanding of the basics behind technical theatre as well as more detailed sessions for those students who are enthusiastic about technical theatre.

Session topics can include:

Setting up your equipment

Health and Safety

Lighting Design Theory
How to program your lighting desk
Lighting with Colours
Working with moving lights

How to integrate data projectors into your show

Sound Design Theory
How to stop feedback
How to use effects during shows
